  2. Canoe, mountain bike and then run through the Chippewa National Forest June 9 in the Chippewa Triathlon. http://www.paulbunyan.net/users/bjiski/triathlon/
The run does start out running parallel to Highway 2 outside of Cass Lake, MN, but soon you are buried under the canopy of towering red and white pines with a finish along the beach of Cass Lake. My favorite event each year.

  5. I’ve always wanted to do the Filthy 5K, but driving all day to run a 5K has never made sense. There’s a hill I want to climb that’s not too far from there (given the 300 mile drive) and I’ve never had a good reason to drive that far to do it. Now that I’m up to TWO reasons, I just may be showing up this year!

  6. Hey- Thanks RunningSpud for listing our race! http://www.runtherose.com a 12 mile run on Sat. July 23rd through the awesome MN countryside using back roads, past lakes and dairy farms….. there’s nothing like it in the area. It’s a great training run for your next marathon or a fun way to get some miles in with friends in the relay division… and help raise money for the American Diabetes Assoc. Jim Jensen, Race Director (and an old guy who can’t quit running)

  7. Wow! I had no idea there were this many races in our area. Thanks for sharing!! I will have to sign up for more than just the Fargo Marathon in May. :-)
