A few weeks ago, I started incorporating some swimming into my weekly routine – trying to make it to a local pool 3 or 4 times a week. Slowly, my swimming is getting better, a paramount skill if I want to compete in triathlons.
I’ve always loved swimming, but I’ve never really been good at it. Along the way, I’m convinced I’m becoming a better runner since most of my swimming practice has focused on breathing. It seems that my running has improved as a result.
It also helps that the injuries that plagued me for nearly 5 months are no longer a major source of pain and frustration.
And since it’s been a while, I thought I’d share some photos from earlier this week when I took Riley out to a state forest so he could romp around while I followed on my mountain bike.
